All jewelry items come in packaging appropriate for giving.

Refunds and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is extremely important! If you are not completely happy with your purchase, exchanges or returns on unused, unworn items are permitted within 7 days of receipt. Please contact me  first. Payment will be refunded, minus original shipping and handling, upon receipt of item. Please return via First Class with delivery confirmation. Insurance is recommended as I cannot refund for items lost in the mail. I guarantee the quality of work and if a problem arises within 90 days of respectful use I will repair or replace the item for free (at my discretion). If you ever feel there is a defect due to manufacturing (if a stone shatters out of the blue, say), please let me know and we will work something out.

Caring for Sterling Silver Jewelry
Wearing your jewelry is the best way of keeping it tarnish free. That being said, chlorine will blacken silver quite quickly, as will sulphur compounds in some antibiotic creams, and some people's normal body chemistry has been known to induce faster oxidation; this is unpredictable.

Though many people enjoy the dark patina that naturally develops over time, if you want to recapture the brighter silver color of your jewelry try the following home remedy:
1.Take a disposable aluminum pie tin (or a regular bowl covered with a piece of aluminum foil).
2.Add about 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of baking soda and top with a cup or two of hot water to dissolve.
3.Wash your jewelry with soap and water to remove oils, then place your sterling jewelry in the solution.
4. Results may be immediate or may take a little while, but you should notice the change pretty quickly.  You might need additional polishing depending on the desired results, but this is a great, low toxicity method to use first.
5. If there is too much oxidation for this method to work completely, I can highly recommend "Connoisseurs Jewelry Wipes" available on Amazon and in the real world.

Caring for Steel Jewelry
Your Precious Steel jewelry has been hand fabricated using annealed steel and any number of precious and other metals as well as precious and semi-precious gemstones and other adornments.

The steel and other metals of your piece have been coated with protective wax or lacquer to retard rust and other oxidation, but sometimes for jewelry in constant skin contact (i.e. bracelets and rings), lotions or sprays such as sunblock, when combined with sweat, salt water or chlorinated water (pool, hot tub), may bring out some oxidation that may temporarily leave orange on the skin where in contact with the metal, though it is hard to predict and this may never happen to you. The orange is easily washed off. Developing a patina via oxidation is a normal process with metal and is not considered a flaw in manufacturing.

If you notice that your piece seems to be oxidizing more than it did at first and this bothers you, you can gently touch up the protection by buffing with a bit of clear paste floor wax or clear shoe polish.
